Our verdict

Every robot mower leaves a fringe along fences, walls and beds, and every owner ends up walking the perimeter with a trimmer. The A3000 is the only one that solves that, and solving it is worth more day to day than another 5,000 Pa of anything. It also undercuts the LiDAR competition at roughly $1,849 street against a $2,499 list. The compromises are real: a single cutting height and rear wheel drive rather than AWD. If your lawn is flat to moderate and the edges are what bother you, this is the most useful mower on the list.
